Purpose
A long-form testimony for vertical social channels: one man's account, in his own words.
The challenge
Almost three minutes is long for a feed built around thirty seconds. The film has to earn every minute without hurrying the speaker.
Structure
The interview alternates with texture — archive, aerial footage, a dog tag — so the voice never has to carry the screen alone, and the strongest sentence (“it was a silence”) lands on a hug rather than a face.
Captions
Captions are set word by word to follow the speaker's breathing; at the turning points they scale up and become the image.
“they told us to be ready”
“it was a silence”
“I'm starting to accept this”
“if one hostage”
On-screen captions, quoted from the film.
